Race report by Edu Escandon
Round 3 of the Spanish National Championship took place at the San Adrian track in Navarra, northen Spain. As always, on Friday was free practice with top drivers like Edu Escandon (XRAY), Jonhy Pastor, Inaki Pahissa (XRAY), Juan Hidalgo, Rodri Pahissa and Victor Pelaez setting the fastest laptimes.

Qualifying started pretty well for Edu and he set the fastest time 2 seconds ahead of the 2nd place qualifier. Sergi Franch (XRAY) was fourth 1 second ahead of Inaki Pahissa who was 6th.



Second and third round didn’t chang much. It wasn´t until de fourth qualifier that top drivers settled for their definitive positions. TQ went to Victor Pelaez with Edu in 2nd only 0.02 seconds slower after the 4 minutes.

Oscar Romero (XRAY),Fabio Barbosa (XRAY) an Sergi Franch (XRAY) bumped up to the main. Ińaki (XRAY) was left without any option after a flame out, despiste being the fastest driver of the Semi-finals.

XRAY was the most popular brand of the main with 4 cars.



The final saw Victor, Juan and Edu run away. Edu had the better pace but he ran out of fuel and dropped to the 6th position, climbing up to the 3rd and finishing only 3 seconds behind Juan Hidalgo who took the win. Fabio Barbosa was 6th due to some mistakes, Sergi Franch 7th after struggling with the set up of the car and Oscar Romero 10th with a broken servo.

With this result Edu is still leading the Championship,with Juan being the only driver with posibilities to take the victory from him.
